Cardi B Is the New Face of Balenciaga — Now You Can Really Call Her “Balenciaga Mama”

Cardi B is the newest face of Balenciaga. We’re still trying to get over how amazing the fashion looks were in Cardi B’s latest hit music video “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, and now the rapper has given us something else to talk about with her Balenciaga campaign. Cardi announced the exciting news that she’s the face of Balenciaga’s latest ad campaign for the winter 2020 season on social media. She posted the campaign photo on Instagram with the caption, “Ya lookin at the face of a @Balenciaga campaign! I remember how I felt seeing myself on a billboard in NYC Times Square but PARIS! Wish I was there to see it in person!” It makes sense that the rapper was chosen as the luxury brand’s latest campaign brand ambassador since some of her most famous lyrics are, “I like those Balenciagas, the ones that look like socks.”

The gorgeous imagery was shot and styled by Cardi’s team at her LA home. The campaign features the singer wearing a slinky black dress from the brand’s creative director Demna Gvasalia’s fall 2020 collection.
