Al Harrington died on Tuesday in a hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, after he suffered a stroke, according to reports. His death was confirmed to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser by the actor’s family members.
Harrington’s most popular role was as Detective Ben Kokua in the original Hawaii Five-0 series, which aired from 1968 until 1980.
Three decades later, he appeared in the remake, which starred Alex O’Loughlin, Daniel Dae Kim and Scott Caan.
He played Mamo Kahike, a surf shop owner and bus driver, from 2011 to 2018.
Harrington also had a role in the TV series Charlie’s Angels in 1977.
His death follows that of fellow Hawaii Five-O star Willie Garson.
Garson’s family confirmed today that the actor had died at the age of 57.
He was best known for was best known for his role in Sex and the City.
The sad news was announced by his son Nathen, who paid tribute to him on Instagram.
He wrote: “I love you so much papa.
“Rest In Peace and I’m so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much.
“I’m so proud of you.
“I will always love you, but I think it’s time for you to go on an adventure of your own.
