Saturday Morning chef James Martin, 48, has spoken out after masses ventured out to pubs and bars last night for the first time since the coronavirus lockdown was implemented in March. The ITV star took to his Instagram page to tell the “muppets” to “show some respect” to the NHS and hospitality workers as he openly said, “for heaven’s sake”.

For heaven’s sake people.

In view of his 406,000 Instagram followers, James shared a snap of a crab on a chopping board to share the details about his first day back in the kitchen, yesterday.

The TV chef wrote: “Amazing day to be back at work with a brilliant team at Chewton Glen …

“Masses of hard work to get all opened up with all that hospitality has to offer it’s been a mass effort to create a safe and secure and amazing environment for our customers and the team…,” he explained.

However, James went on to address the scenes of Saturday night, where masses of people neglected social distancing rules to go to pubs and restaurants in the Soho district in London for the first time in four months as the lockdown’s measures eased from yesterday.

“Show some respect for the people working in this industry who serve you everyday day in day out and the brilliant NHS that has been through enough and will both suffer if some of you keep acting like muppets…”

Fans soon waded in to tell the small-screen star how James’ comments were spot on.
