Meghan Markle ‘slams Kate Middleton’ for being ‘uptight’ and ‘tells friends she made the right decision’ to leave Royal family

Meghan Markle has reportedly slammed Kate Middleton for being "uptight" after making her exit from the Royal family.

The 38 year old and her husband Prince Harry , 35, carried out their final royal engagement earlier this week as they attended the annual Commonwealth Day service alongside Kate, also 38, and her husband Prince William, 37, with The Queen.

But after returning to Canada following their last shift for 'the firm', Meghan is believed to have opened up to her close friends about how her and Harry made "the right choice" by leaving.

An insider explained: "She said [the trip] has been a confirmation that they made the right choice in parting ways.

"There's no warmth between the family members and she wants to raise Archie in a household that is filled with laughter and joy and lots of hugs.

"It's still weird to her that no one hugs and that everyone is so uptight, especially Kate. She said it's obvious that Kate and William do not approve of their choices and that you could cut the tension with a knife.

"Kate barely even looked at her and their interaction was kept to a bare minimum."

Discussing why 10 month old Archie was left in North America for the five day trip, the source continued to tell MailOnline: "She said it's not like she was intentionally keeping [Archie] away, but it made no sense to bring him and put him in harm's way.

"Regardless, Meghan said the whole thing is alarming and that she'll be glad to get home and be with Archie."

The claims come after it was reported that Kate and William had made a secret kind gesture at their last appearance together at Westminster Abbey.

Meghan looked stunning in an emerald Emilia Wickstead dress and cape for their last engagement as "senior" members of the Royal family, while Kate wore a red recycled Catherine Walker coat.

On Sunday, it was decided that Harry and Meghan would not be walking as part of Her Majesty's procession, leaving them "upset and emotional."

It is believed that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis' parents then made a last minute change in an attempt to ease the tension.

The pair — who will eventually become king and queen — made the decision to also not walk with William and Harry's grandmother, taking their seats straight away.

Despite the gesture, some royal fans claimed their final appearance together was "awkward" as The Sussexes arrived first and sat in the second row.

The Cambridges followed shortly behind them, taking their seats in the front row, with the couples failing to greet each other.

Meghan was seen saying "hello" and giving a wave to her sibling-in-laws, with Harry also saying "hello" before turning back to converse with his wife.
