Hayley Williams released a new song, titled “Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris,” on Thursday.
The song, written by Williams, Taylor York and Daniel James, features backup vocals from the boygenius trio of Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, and Phoebe Bridgers.
The Paramore lead singer, who was supposed to release the second portion of her new album Petals for Armor this week, has postponed the release due to the spread of the coronavirus and is now scheduled to bring it out on May 8. She had released the first installment of the album in February.
“I wanted to drop a line really quick to give an update about my upcoming album, PETALS FOR ARMOR, and what’s going on with my music in light of the effect of COVID-19,” Williams wrote on Twitter.
“I had planned on dropping another EP’s worth of songs this week but after a couple of days of thinking about it, I just don’t feel comfortable going through with that plan anymore,” she added. “My reason being that just like everyone else, I feel a lot of anxiety right now.”
