Before Game of Thrones‘ Sophie Turner became Mrs. Joe Jonas, she and her friends were avid haters of her now-husband’s mid-aughts boy band.
For ELLE‘s April cover story, the former Queen of the North revealed why they vehemently disliked the Jonas Brothers when they were younger.
“My friends and I were not Jonas Brothers fans,” she divulged. “There was this band in the UK called Busted. They had a hit called ‘Year 3000.’ It was amazing, and we were huge Busted fans. Then the Jonas Brothers covered the song and made it massive. And Busted broke up. We thought it was all the Jonas Brothers’ fault. So we hated them.”
Oh, how the tables have turned.
Since the two have become besotted with each other (subsequently tying the knot last year), Turner has been nothing but Jonas’s number one fan.
During the band’s Happiness Begins Tour, for instance, the Emmy-nominated actress was photographed fangirling over her husband in the front row, where the couple exchanged a smile as she reached out to hold his hand.
Turner and her fellow J-Sisters, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Danielle Jonas, also showed their devotion to their boys by donning throwback Jonas Brothers tees backstage. Chopra even posted a photo of the three together on Instagram, captioning it, “#wivesontour.”
