KANE 'A FEW WEEKS' AWAY
Harry Kane has confirmed he will “definitely” play in Euro 2020.
“In my head, I am definitely at the Euros.
“Unless something pretty drastic happens between now and then, I’ll be there.
“I’m still not back training with the first team, but I’m working hard in the gym, I’m getting stronger all the time.
“We’re talking a few more weeks, and I’ll be playing again.
“I don’t want to make a prediction for which game I might be back, but I am hoping somewhere between the start and the middle of April.”
One Spurs fan has revealed he got a packet of spaghetti signed by Victor Wanyama, after the former Southampton midfielder's iconic tweet about eating the Italian delicacy.
Victor Wanyama has completed a move to MLS side Montreal Impact after leaving Tottenham.
The Kenyan powerhouse will link up with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who has been in charge at the Canadian team since November.
Wanyama has struggled for game time this season with just four appearances and has been completely frozen out since Jose Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino.
Spurs confirmed the transfer in a statement, which read: “We have reached agreement with Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact for the transfer of Victor Wanyama.
“We wish Victor well for the future.”
GATE IS OPEN
Gareth Southgate believes Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford's dedication will allow them to win their Euro 2020 fitness race for England.
The Three Lions boss said: “We've had really good updates right the way through and Harry and Marcus are exactly where we were expecting them to be.
“Both players will give themselves the best possible chance of being available, that's their mentality and that's their dedication to their sport.
“That's the only bit we can guarantee, what we can't guarantee is how that rehab will develop as it's stepped up and as it becomes more intense, but they are both on track from the information we were given at the very start.”
Arsenal's Henrikh Mkhitaryan says he held talks with Tottenham before joining Borussia Dortmund.
The Roma loanee commented: “I left with Raiola for London, initially to speak with Tottenham.
“We were waiting for offers from Liverpool but we weren't sure.
“Then we received the call from Dortmund and immediately flew to Germany.
“They had sold Götze and needed a new 'number 10'.
“In Liverpool and Tottenham the spots were already taken, so moving to Borussia was the best thing to do.
“Klopp immediately told me his ideas, where he saw me on the pitch.”
