Carol Vorderman has posted a sweet series of photos on Instagram to celebrate her daughter Katie’s birthday.
The TV star has been notoriously private about the lives of her children over the years, but she couldn’t help but show her pride for her daughter.
Katie clearly follows in her famous mum’s footsteps when it comes to intelligence, as Carol shared a whole host of photos showing what she’s been up to over the years, for her 29th birthday.
Carol wrote: “Happy Birthday to my kind, hilarious, hard working, loving, talented, geek girl Katie” followed by heart emojis.
In the emotional post, the 60-year-old TV star talked about how far her daughter has come, writing: “Katie was 2 months premature (worrying times), now she's a Research scientist at Cambridge university”
The doting mum shared a picture of the hospital wristband from when Katie was born.
Every inch the proud mum, she wrote a series of hashtags highlighting Katie’s interests, including Nasa, space freak, pilot, singer, and a wannabe astronaut.
Carol described each of the images she had chosen to mark the special occasion.
“A few pics of Katie interviewing Apollo Astronaut, hanging out with Rag’n’Bone Man …..us at the same age (9), growing up and flying our plane together.”
Fans can’t believe how similar the two look, often commenting calling Katie her double and her lookalike.
One wrote: “She’s your absolute double! Happy birthday!”
“Wow you look so much alike!!” exclaimed another.
Carol then talked about how she tried to protect the privacy of her children growing up.
“It's not often I ever talk about my children….I kept their lives very private as kids but now they're grown up…well I'm allowed to say how proud I am of them both….”
She signed off the post with: “Happy Birthday Katie King ….soooooooo many adventures to come…..bring it on” followed by more heart emojis.
The bombshell Pride Of Britain host is mum to two children.
