Prompt: Comedian Tanya Hennessy, 35, asked her Facebook followers for the funny anecdotes this weekend, asking: ‘Florists, what is the craziest thing you’ve written on a card?’

Unsurprisingly, quite a few of the funniest submissions from florists detailed dirty, raunchy, and otherwise R-rated notes they had to write.

One recounted penning the message: ‘Thanks for letting us film at your place. Sorry about the mess.’

‘On Valentine’s Day I had a lady request to send a rose with head cut off,’ wrote another. ‘I said no thinking it was some psycho ex. She said listen to the card message and you’ll understand. Card read “here’s the stem, you’ll get the head later!”’

Another remembered sending ‘new baby’ flowers to a new mother from the baby’s father.

‘Baby is a stunner like her mumma, glad I didn’t wipe it on the curtains that night. Love you xo,’ read the note.

One said they were asked to write: ‘Roses are red, watches are gold, get on your knees and do what you’re told.’

Yet another commenter said it was her friend who sent her the flowers, including a ‘very dirty bible verse’ — and the friend was mortified when the florist looked up the verse and called back to confirm it was the correct one.

Several florists watched personal drama play out as cheaters were exposed.

One said he was told to send ‘love you’ cards to both a man’s wife and his mistress, while another was asked to send a note with flowers reading: ‘Go near my husband again and I’ll be sending you funeral flowers.’

One pregnant woman sent flowers to the father of her child with a note reading, ‘Dear Baby Daddy, I am keeping the baby, and I don’t want this to be a secret anymore’ — and shockingly, the man’s wife answered the door for the delivery driver.

LOL! Several florists got a laugh from customers who showed off an envelope-pushing sense of humor

Several florists got a laugh from customers who showed off an envelope-pushing sense of humor.

‘Had a funeral order where the best mate put on the card: “Knew you would die before buying me the pint you owe me,”‘ wrote one.

‘Sent a goodies pack to a man who passed out & got run over by a train (cut his foot right off!) after a drunken stumble home from a work Christmas party,’ said another. ‘Card read: “They said get legless but they didn’t mean it literally!”

That ‘goodies pack’ also drove the joke home, including a train set and a pair of socks.

‘Thankfully the man had a dark sense of humor to match!’ wrote the commenter.
