    TEAM NEWS

It's an unchanged team for Spurs as Nuno looks to the trio of Son, Bergwijn and Moura to work their magic again.

That's a far cry from the days of Mauricio Pochettino, who took more than 90 games to name an unchanged side.

    WOLVES AT THE DOOR

Bruno Lage has called on Wolves fans to create the same fantastic atmosphere for his side as they would have done under Nuno.

He said: “I have a lot of respect for amazing things Nuno did for Wolves.

"Those achievements will never be forgotten. But when ref blows his whistle, I know fans will be behind us.

"That’s because no-one should live in the past. We always need to live in the present.”

    OUTFOXED

Nuno Espirito Santo is in the Tottenham dugout for the game against Wolves today but new reports have delved more into why the home side decided to get rid of him.

The Telegraph claim that one of the reasons Fosun grew frustrated with Nuno was his vetoing of potential signings, including Youri Tielemans, who ended up at Leicester.

The report added that the Portuguese manager's spark on the training ground disappeared in the final 18 months of his reign and he felt disillusioned by not being able to see his family in Porto due to Covid regulations.

    KANE-D

Wantaway Tottenham striker has received a hostile reception, but not from Tottenham's supporters.

The England captain was booed by WOLVES fans as he stepped off the team coach ahead of today's game.

Meanwhile Nuno was given a huge round of applause by the Molineux faithful.

    NEVER SAY NEVE-R

Bruno Lage is not expecting Ruben Neves to leave Wolves this transfer window, but isn't ruling it out either.

"All the top players we have are linked with all the clubs in the world.

"Every player has a price but what I saw from Ruben is that he’s happy to be here.

"What he did last game was very good and we’re not looking to see anyone go."

Lage added that Wolves are expecting to be busy in the last week of the transfer window but are keen to strengthen their squad, not weaken it.

    HEAD-TO-HEAD

Tottenham dominate the head-to-head stakes with 49 wins, compared to 29 for Wolves and 21 draws.

However, under Nuno the West Midlanders gave almost as good as they got, winning two, drawing one and losing three.

Interestingly though, all Wolves' wins since promotion came away at Tottenham.

Whether this has any bearing on today's result remains to be seen, with Nuno sitting in the away dugout at Molineux for the first time.

    BEARING THE BRUN-T

Nuno's replacement on the Wolves bench will be Bruno Lage, who will be desperate to give the home fans something to cheer about by claiming the scalp of his fellow Portuguese.

One the face of it, Lage seemed a left-field choice with the 2019-20 season at Benfica being his only one in management.

There, he finished in second place in the Primeira Liga.

Though Lage has worked in England before, as Carlos Carvalhal's assistant at Swansea and Sheffield Wednesday, he did not instantly qualify for a work permit and was only given one in a hearing in June.

However, the majority of fans at Molineux remain right behind owners Fosun and trusting in their decisions.

    ALL OR NUN

Nuno Espirito Santo will make an emotional return to Wolves today just three months after leaving the club.

And he will be looking for more of the same from his Spurs team after a brilliant performance against Man City saw them run out 1-0 winners without Harry Kane.

But the England captain, who is hoping to move to City, could yet make an appearance at Molineux this afternoon.

Kane has reportedly travelled with the squad and is said to be keen to play.

Meanwhile one of the men linked with replacing Kane is almost certain to appear for Wolves.

Adama Traore was brought to Molineux by Nuno, and could potentially join him down in London.

But one man whose time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium looks set to be over is Tanguy Ndombele.

The former Lyon star has been transfer listed with Nuno stating that he only wants players who are keen to play for the club.
