There’s no love between these two.
In a trailer for the upcoming “Love Is Blind” reunion episode, contestants from Netflix’s viral new dating reality show are airing their grievances after a tumultuous season finale. A preview for the reunion, which airs March 5, teases a tense moment between Jessica Batten and Amber Pike.
And the drama promises to be enough to make any Real Housewife proud.
The show features couples who get engaged without seeing each other, only speaking through a wall in tastefully decorated cubicles. If they decide to get engaged, they spend a short amount of time on vacations and out in the real world to test the strength of their relationship as they plan their weddings. On their wedding days, they decide if they want to go through with the relationship.
Spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn’t finished the series.
Early in the series, Jessica was torn between two contestants, Mark Cuevas and Matt Barnett. Ultimately, Barnett (who inexplicably goes by his last name) paired off with Amber, and the two went on to get married. Jessica and Mark got engaged but broke it off at the altar.
Throughout the season, the love triangle provided fodder for conflict between the two women. After Amber watched the show, she saw some flirtatious activity between her now-husband and Jessica — including during a trip that brought all the couples to Mexico.
“To see her throwing herself at him in Mexico: B - - ch, you’re sheisty,” Amber says in the preview clip for the reunion. “You’re so fake, coming to my face like we were cool. You are so fake. I think you are a very disingenuine [sic] person and I hope seeing this, you do grow from it because that is not what the world needs.”
She added that the behavior was especially nasty given that Jessica was engaged to Mark at the time.
“You were engaged to another man that you were leading on,” Amber said. “He was engaged. He made his choice.”
