M&S teams up with Deliveroo to deliver food during lockdown

Deliveroo has announced a new partnership with BP and Marks & Spencer to deliver household essentials including milk, bread, and ready meals, to your door as coronavirus pushes the UK into lockdown.

This is the first time M&S food will be available on Deliveroo and items will be available from 120 M&S franchise stores at BP service stations across the UK.

A selected range of approximately 60 M&S products will be available to order on Deliveroo and delivered straight to people’s homes within 30 minutes.

Products on offer include M&S 100% Orange Juice Smooth 1L, M&S 12″ Stone Baked Cheese & Tomato Pizza, M&S 4 Pint Semi Skimmed Milk, M&S Super Seed Loaf 800g, and the M&S Chilli & Rice Meal.

Delivery of these items and all products from BP stores will be free, so you don’t need to worry about sky-high added fees.

This collab comes as Deliveroo also launches a new range called Essentials by Deliveroo, offering up tinned goods, pasta, biscuits, juices, cereal, and household items for delivery to ensure anyone isolated can access the goods they need.

Essentials by Deliveroo became available in Cambridge on Wednesday and will be rolled out across Reading, Brighton, Nottingham, Manchester, Leeds and London over the next two weeks.

Will Shu, founder and CEO of Deliveroo, said: ‘At Deliveroo, we want to do everything possible to help people get the food they want and need during this worrying period.

‘We hope we can play a role in supporting people who have to isolate to get the food they need whether that’s household items or restaurant food.’
