Prince Harry urged to come home amid coronavirus crisis after heartbreaking video

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have recently moved to North America in recent months, stepping down from their senior royal roles. However, the Duke of Sussex is still going ahead with his personal project the Invictus Games, however, he has sadly revealed the games are cancelled in a video.

  • Prince Harry admired Meghan because ‘he is competitive with William’

The video was posted to Twitter on the Invictus Games Twitter account.

It was captioned: “The @WeAreInvictus patron, the #DukeofSussex, has released a video message to the #InvictusGames competitors recognising their disappointment at the news, but that it’s the best outcome for their safety and recovery.”

In the video the prince expressed deep sorrow about the cancellation of his project.

He assured viewers: “This was an incredibly difficult decision for all of us to have to make.”

He thanked all of those who had helped in trying to find alternative plans for the games to go ahead.

Fans took the opportunity to urge the Dukes of Sussex to return to the UK.

One said: “Harry you are a ledge come home mate.”

“Miss you Harry,” another fan said, while one added, “Thanks Harry and missing you so much.”

Most supported his decision to call of the games, and one said: “Very disappointing but definitely the right decision.”

However, not everyone wanted to hear from the prince. One said: “Not interested in anything that disrespectful lap dog has to say.”

“Who cares what this selfish person has to say,” another said.

Odds have been slashed on Prince Harry returning to the UK and resuming his senior royal roles despite announcing his intention to step down in January.

Since, he and his wife hashed out a method of stepping down.

Harry and Meghan announced their intention to step away from the Royal Family shortly after Christmas. They also revealed their plans to live in North America.

Currently the couple is staying in a £10m mansion on Vancouver Island, Canada.

According to “Bookies slashed the odds to as short as 2/1 on Harry returning to the UK to help his brother, in the Queen’s absence, to manage the fort during these challenging times.”

The odds on Princess Beatrice, who is ninth in line to the throne, to cover for the Queen is currently 5/1.

If the Queen is forced to quarantine herself she will enlist help from other members of the Royal Family.

With Prince Charles being 71 and Prince Philip being 98 – in vulnerable groups for the virus – it’s likely the Queen will be leaning on younger royals.

However, she may find herself understaffed, with Prince Andrew stepping down after the scandal involving his likes to Jeffery Epstein and Harry leaving the UK and his role as a working royal.

The Queen herself has issued a statement on coronavirus.

She said: “As Philip and I arrive at Windsor today, we know that many individuals and families across the United Kingdom, and around the world, are entering a period of great concern and uncertainty.

“We are all being advised to change our normal routines and regular patterns of life for the greater good of the communities we live in, and, in particular, to protect the most vulnerable within them.”

She added: “We are enormously thankful for the expertise and commitment of our scientists, medical practitioners and emergency and public services; but now more than any time in our recent past, we all have a vitally important part to play as individuals – today and in the coming days, weeks and months.

“Many of us will need to find new ways of staying in touch with each other and making sure that loved ones are safe. I am certain we are up to that challenge. You can assured that my family and I stand ready to play our part.”
