Rupert Grint has recalled his "terrifying" first night with daughter Wednesday.
The Harry Potter actor, 32, welcomed his first child with girlfriend Georgia Groome in May last year.
And after being plunged into newfound fatherhood, Rupert has now recalled the nerve-racking first night after bringing his baby home from the hospital.
Worried about his newborn baby each second of the night, Rupert said he would constantly "think the worst" as he navigated new parenthood.
"I don't want to go too into detail, but the first night was just terrifying," he told Esquire.
"You can't sleep at all, just constantly checking that she's breathing. Sleeping, in general, for me, is something I've really struggled with."
"I think as a kid, people always said, 'They died in their sleep,' so I always thought sleep was a really dangerous, dangerous thing," he added.
On a lighter note, the Ron Weasley star joked about experiencing an "identity crisis" when he became a dad.
"I struggle with that, being a dad. Had a bit of an identity crisis. I don't know, do I change the way I dress now?" he added.
Rupert and Georgia, who have been together for nine years, confirmed the birth in a statement in May last year.

Rupert famously played young wizard Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film franchise, starring alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson.
He is the first of the child-star trio to become a parent, nine years after filming of the hugely successful film series wrapped.
Carrying the role through all eight films, he went on to star in the film Sick Note, crime drama Snatch and Agatha Christie's The ABC Murders.
Georgia, who rose to fame with a starring role in the hit teen flick Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, reportedly started dating Rupert back in 2011.
