A federal politician has called for roadblocks to be set up along the Great Ocean Road in a bid to stop tourists from visiting coastal towns this Easter long weekend.
Sarah Henderson, a Liberal senator and former federal member for Corangamite, said holidaying Victorians were putting lives at risk if they left their own homes and travelled to coastal communities.

"So this Easter, please do the right thing and stay at home."
Mr Andrews has repeatedly told Victorians that the Easter weekend was not an opportunity to go away, but said families going to their holiday homes would not be penalised.
"This is not a holiday weekend," he said on Wednesday. "Please ask yourselves a pretty simple question, 'do I need to go there?'
"I haven't looked at the weather forecast, I hope it's pouring all weekend. I seriously do."
The Premier also said that families should only spend time with their own households if they did travel to holiday homes.
Under stage three restrictions, Victorians have been told the only reason they should leave the house is for healthcare, essential supplies, work or education, and exercise.
