Sports figures who have tested positive for coronavirus

The coronavirus has drastically affected the sports world, leading to cancellations and postponements from major pro leagues and NCAA athletic events as the world attempts to slow its spread. But even with play suspended around the world, some athletes have tested positive.

Here's a look at sports figures who have announced that they tested positive: 

Pro athletes/coaches with COVID-19:

Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz center

Donovan Mitchell, Utah Jazz guard

Christian Wood, Detroit Pistons forward

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal manager

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Chelsea winger

Daniele Rugani, Juventus defender

Timo Hubers, Hannover defender 

Trey Thompkins, Real Madrid power forward

Hyun-Jun Suk, Troyes AC striker

Luca Kilian, Paderborn defender

Unidentified XFL player: Spring football league confirmed that a member of the Seattle Dragons tested positive and has been quarantined.

Five players from UC Sampdoria: Omar Colley, Albin Ekdal, Manolo Gabbiadini, Antonino La Gumina and Morten Thorsby. Team doctor Amedo Baldari also tested positive. 

Three players from Fiorentina: German Pezzella, Patrick Cutrone and Dusan Vlahovic
