  • What Kate Middleton’s Mother’s Day post says about Prince George

To mark Mother’s Day, William and Kate’s Kensington Royal Instagram account shared a series of the family’s personal photos. But one of the uploaded images revealed something even more special, a handmade card that George gave Kate this Mother’s Day.

The young Prince proved his artistic talent as he presented Kate with the stunning card.

The card uses multimedia to create its stunning effect, he combined the use of card, paint, tissue paper and crayons.

George’s colourful collage depicts a vase full of three red flowers against a background of bright blue sky.

He showed off his talent as he carefully coloured in the vase and drew a (wonky) love heart on the front.

He also scrunched up tissue paper to form the flowers at the top of the card.

But what does Prince George’s Mother’s Day card reveal about the young Prince?

Painter and sculptor, Victoria Baylosh, shared her exclusive expert opinion with Express.co.uk.

She said: “Prince George definitely shows a talent for art. His composition is impeccable for his age.

“I think this card shows that George is years ahead of his peers, he uses different mediums to express himself and has clearly had loads of fun creating [the card] for his mother.

“I am a firm believer that art expands a child’s ability to interact with the world around them, and provides a new set of skills for self-expression and communication.

“Art also strengthens both critical thinking and problem-solving skills in children, a skill that will be essential for the future King.

“In my opinion, the use of colours really express George’s state of mind. He’s used bright and happy colours which could easily be reflective of his own emotions but also those emotions towards Kate.”
