Who is Kris Evans?
Kris, 31, is a musician who hails from Manchester, like his actress fiancée.
He studied music production and sound engineering at Manchester Music Base, and has gone to launch his own record label called 258.
Kris also competed on Britain's Got Talent in 2012 as part of foursome The Mend, which was formed in 2008 by Take That manager Nigel Martin Smith. The group reached the final, but failed to take home the win.
The Mend went on to release their debut single, Where Were You?, which received great reviews and managed to make it into the UK Top 40.
The band's success was noticed by X Factor winners Little Mix, who then invited the boys to supported them on their 28-date DNA UK tour.
Following the end of The Mend, Kris launched a solo track in 2016 called #HappyKristmas, which proved to be a hit online.
The 31 year old musician then released three singles in 2018, Famous, What's Luv ft. Swiss (SoSolid Crew) and Against The Grain, which saw him perform several shows all across Europe.
Kris has since gone on to launch his own record label and recording studio, and is also the director of photography studio, Lodge Street Studios.
He and actress Georgia started dating back in 2018, and moved into their first home together in 2020 during the coronavirus lockdown.
The pair regularly share loved-up snaps together on Instagram along with gushing captions, and they'd previously made no secret of their desire to one day get married.
In an interview with The Best Life Project in 2020, Georgia revealed: "I was brought up with northern men around me.
“So it just feels right with Kris. He’s very chilled and very supportive and if it was up to me I’d have married him the day I met him.”
Kris romantically popped the question during a winter getaway to Gran Canaria, and now he and Georgia are set to tie the knot.
The newly engaged couple were inundated with congratulatory messages following the sweet announcement, with fellow celebs flocking to wish them well.
Keith Lemon said: "Congratulations!!!" as Holly Hagan chimed: "Congratulations baby," with two heart eyes emojis.
Fellow actress Catherine Tyldesley added: "Ahhhhhh congratulations beautiful girl xxxx".
