A Place In The Sun's Laura Hamilton reveals house and garden transformation at her HUGE new family home

A PLACE In The Sun presenter Laura Hamilton has revealed the house and garden transformation at her HUGE new home.

The mother-of-two moved into the sprawling new property earlier this month after getting stuck in rebuilding and restoring the exterior.

Laura, 39, shockingly split with her husband Alex Goward this year after admitting they were on "different paths" in their lives.

The property expert seems to have gotten over her "overwhelming sadness" by throwing herself into working hard on a new property.

She moved out of her old family home in Purley, which she shared with her kids Rocco, eight, and Talia, six, and into the new Surrey mansion.

Laura has been keeping fans updated on the progress of her new place on her YouTube channel, showing her re-tiling the roof.

Other clips see the Channel 4 presenter transforming the garden with new landscaping, and demolishing old sheds and out buildings.

While the star also got busy with her pink overalls on removing walls and changing the layout of the rooms inside the stunning home.

The star opened up that the renovation reinstated her love for "buying places and making them beautiful", as she did before her TV career.

While so far the home has been repaired and upcycled for the family to move in, Laura has bigger plans for the Surrey mansion.

She concluded to OK! that she hoped to put in a double-storey extension for two more bedrooms, and a gym.

Laura revealed she had bought a new home back in January, sharing new snaps of the building to her Instagram page.

Alongside the photo, Laura wrote: "The scaffolding is up and the renovation begins…

"It’s no secret I love renovating properties. I love turning something run down in to something special…"

Revealing she's got big plans, Laura continued: "Yesterday my planning application was validated, and whilst I now have a couple of months before I can (hopefully) start the major work.

"In the meantime I’m making a start on repairing the roof and repointing the brickwork!"

And posting some photos from inside the home on her story, Laura added: "I have BIG plans for my new home. But in the meantime it's cosy with lots of lamps, flowers and candles."

Laura's fresh start comes after she announced her shock split from Alex, after 13 years together.

She married insurance broker Alex in 2012 – three years after they started dating.

Revealing her break-up, Laura said: "This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated.

"Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time."

Alongside her message to fans, Laura shared an image which read: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
