Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and professional dancer Katya Jones are set to perform the Argentine Tango on the next instalment of Strictly Come Dancing. Ahead of Saturday night’s BBC show, body language expert Darren Stanton revealed he thought their “deep connection” could see the couple bring home the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
Prior to the fourth week of Strictly Come Dancing, Betfair Casino teamed up with Mr Stanton.
The body language expert analyses each couple’s chances of winning the ballroom dancing competition based on how they interact with one another.
He focuses on their physical affection, facial expressions, gestures and eye contact with each other.
After studying 26-year-old Adam and 32-year-old Katya’s performances, Mr Stanton noted how comfortable the duo appear together.

He explained: “There’s very interesting energy between these two and I think they do have a good rapport and a deep connection.
“It’s quite essential in dance to be completely comfortable with someone being in what we call your personal proximity zone.”
Last Saturday, Adam took to the dance floor with Katya for a routine inspired by the blockbuster hit, Avatar.
They performed a Rumba to I See You by Leona Lewis and they were hoping to improve on last week’s scores for their Quickstep.
Unfortunately, although the judges offered some praise to the Olympic swimmer, his scores didn’t replicate this and he ended up being at the bottom of the leaderboard.
He scored 20 out of 40 points for his performance, but Mr Stanton said he had high hopes their “good rapport” will help them go far in the competition.
The expert explained: “The couple seem completely comfortable in their own skin and I think this is a couple that we could also see go far.
“They have a natural affinity with each other and the ability to work very hard and exude confidence and sparks.”

Will their hard work help Adam and Katya get through to the next round of the competition?
Katya has managed to win Strictly before with celebrity partner Joe McFadden in 2017.
The pair became the 15th winners of Strictly in 2017, which was the first series with Shirley Ballas as the head judge in place of Len Goodman.
Last year, Katya was paired with retired professional and Olympic champion boxer Nicola Adams.
They became the first same-sex couple to compete in the history of the programme.
However, comedian Bill Bailey won the show with dance partner Oti Mabuse last December.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One.
