EastEnders spoilers: Death horror as Denise is involved in a shock tragedy?

EastEnders is set to arrive back with a bang on September 7, and things won’t be looking too good for Denise Fox.

Following lockdown, Denise (Diane Parish) will be involved in a shocking accident which will cause her past to catch up with her.

The accident could have life-changing consequences for her and another resident on Albert Square – because there truly never is a dull day in Walford.

Denise hasn’t had an easy ride since arriving on the Square – having survived a bus crash, lost her job and ended up in poverty as well as giving away the baby she conceived during a drunken one night stand with Phil Mitchell.

Far from Denise being the only one whose life is set to be upturned in the forthcoming episodes, Mick and Linda Carter are set to face more problems after leaving the Queen Victoria pub behind.

The couple sold up to Sharon Watts and Ian Beale prior to lockdown, in order for Linda not to be surrounded by booze as she continues to battle alcoholism, but a new face on the Square is set to stir up trouble for the family in new episodes.

The Carters will also be rocked by secrets and lies held from each other, with the test being whether they choose to be honest with one another or let the skeletons in their closets destroy their marriage.

Speaking about the return of EastEnders, Exective Producer Jon Sen, teased more dramatic scenes to come: ‘From the moment we turned the lights out in The Queen Vic our ambition was to come back with a bang and this autumn certainly does that.

‘As soon as Albert Square reawakens the drama returns at a pace and, although working within social distancing guidelines has certainly given us some new challenges, I am incredibly proud of what everyone has achieved.

‘The show is looking fantastic and we can’t wait for “series two” to begin…’

EastEnders will return to BBC One at 8.00pm on Monday, September 7 and air four nights a week.
