Emmerdale fans confused by CCTV blunder as they’re certain Paul will be arrested

Emmerdale fans are sure they've found something that will definitely see Paul Ashford (Reece Dinsdale) get arrested after he beat up his son Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson).

Paul attacked Vinny after he confronted him about a few things that didn't quite make sense about his recent kidnapping, which turned out to be a plot to rinse Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) of her inheritance.

Vinny ended up in hospital after the brutal beating and viewers are certain they've figured out how Paul will finally get caught out – and it's pretty obvious.

Taking to Twitter, fans questioned the scrapyard's CCTV system – or lack thereof.

One said: "On three occasions Paul has battered Vinny at the scrapyard. I take it this scrapyard doesn't have CCTV?"

Another tweeted: "I hope the beating is caught on CCTV."

A third wrote: "Wasn't the CCTV on them then?"

While someone else added: "Everyone is mentioning the CCTV but what about the questions surrounding why the ambulance picked up Vinny from the scrapyard and not a back alley in Hotton aka Leeds."

There was what appears to be a CCTV camera visible in the shot of the scene when Paul attacked Vinny.

But when Paul was asked about calling the police or CCTV, he told Liv there wasn't any.

Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) still has no idea that Paul has been attacking their son, but she wasn't keen on getting police involved either.

The same couldn't be said for Liv, who wanted to get to the bottom of who attacked her boyfriend and called the cops.

Viewers have now been left fearing for her safety, thinking Paul will make her his next target if he finds out she got the police involved.

Liv noticed something wasn't quite right about what Vinny had said had happened to him, but it might be her undoing.

Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw has already confirmed that this ongoing father and son abuse storyline will end in tragedy – but who for?

She said: "We’ve made no secret that Mandy/Vinny/Paul will feature heavily and Paul’s appalling behaviour gets worse and worse. He goes to extreme measures.

“As he becomes better at hiding it, Mandy falls in love more and a proposal follows – a big old Dingle wedding is planned.

“But will it get them their happily ever after?

“It’s going in a really big direction, it’s our most ambitious work since Covid hit, it will be epic and rewarding.

“Ultimately this story will end in tragedy for a character but for who?”

Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV
