Emmerdale spoilers: Victoria Sugden devastated after she spends the night with Luke

Emmerdale fans have watched as Victoria Sugden (played by Isobel Hodgins) and Luke Posner (Max Parker) grow ever closer, but the village chef is still wary of the family after her harrowing rape ordeal. Viewers will remember last year Victoria was attacked by then-boyfriend Lee Posner (Kris Mochrie), who later died after her brother Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) beat him to death for his heinous actions.

Lee’s brother Luke and mum Wendy (Susan Cookson) have become regular faces in the Dales as they moved to the village following the trial.

Struggling to come to terms with what her son did, Wendy still brushes off the claims leaving Victoria in an awkward situation, as she’s her baby’s biological grandmother.

Now, Vic’s trying to move on with her life after the horrific crime, as she has her little one to care for.

But as her relationship with Luke moves to the next stage, will she start to regret it?

Still suffering from terrifying flashbacks, they had a mini break-up after she saw Lee while she and Luke were together.

But insisting love can conquer all, they decided to give their romance another try.

Despite Luke having a good time, it might have been too soon for the new mum, as the two spend the night together next week.

After inviting him to stay for an early night, Luke wakes up on cloud nine.

But he soon realises his partner doesn’t feel the same way.

Acting awkward around him, he asks her what’s wrong, keen to get to the bottom of it.

Was it too soon for Victoria to move on?

Is she ready for an intimate relationship?

Elsewhere in the Dales, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) could be set to pack up and leave the village with little April and Leo in tow.

Following his release from prison, he has been suffering with extreme anxiety, after he was arrested for the murder of Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) in January.

After leaving The Woolpack as head chef, Marlon has been finding agency work, which has kept him up all-hours.

Yesterday’s episode saw Marlon barely managing to stay awake after taking on some new work, and he wasn’t best pleased when his friends pointed it out.

Stressed and agitated, he stormed off but Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop), might have just thrown him a life line.

As she explained the state she had seen Marlon in earlier on, she remarked: “Poor love, could do with a holiday.

“Hey, maybe he could take April and Leo away for a little break, with some of the Free Marlon cash?”

Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) agreed: “That’s not a bad idea, you could mention it Mandy.”

During Marlon’s time in a cell, the Dingles started a campaign called Free Marlon, in order to try and conjure up funds to help with the legal fees.

Will he decide to take a temporary leave of absence and whisk his kids off on a holiday he so desperately deserves?

Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
