JASON Manford celebrated his 40th birthday in style with a lavish Oscars-themed party in his garden.
The comedian, who reached the milestone on May 26, chose the sun-soaked UK Bank Holiday to properly celebrate.
Jason took to his Instagram page to detail how events organiser pal Steph Ledigo had pulled out all the stops for the awards-style bash – which even included a live orchestra.
He wrote how he had told her "'Don’t go overboard Steph!’", and then explained: "When one of your best pals is a party organiser, you know you’re getting the works!
"Amazing day @stephledigo @go_pr_and_events."
Alongside, the 8 Out Of 10 Cats panelist posted snaps showing a huge white marquee in his back garden, alongside a bar filled with pineapples and Bacardi rum.
There was a gold podium, shining in the sun's rays, prime for any birthday speeches the comedian wished to make while huge Oscars statues lined the way into the party for guests.
A live string orchestra provided the sophisticated party soundtrack from his patio while a bouncy castle added entertainment for the kids.
There was a hilarious statue of Jason presenting while cupcakes – next to a magic mirror wishing him happy birthday – were on hand for sweet treats.
His pal even made sure all the small touches were taken care of, with lollipops adorned with the names of musicals as well as images of the Salford-born star and the caption ' Jason turns 40!'.
Jason's spacious garden proved the perfect place to soak up the good Bank Holiday weather and celebrate, following UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's recent relaxation of England's roadmap out of lockdown.
Huge gold and black balloons added the finishing touch.
Jason told fans about the sweet party treats on his Twitter page, as he wrote: "The only thing I wanted for my party were cakes from
"My cousin Aiden (best beard in the family) set up this business when times got hard during lockdown! It’s gone from strength to strength 😋," before revealing snaps of the Raspberry Ice Cream, Jammie Dodger & Caramac loaf cakes.
The celebrations will hopefully have marked the start of a happy milestone year for Jason, after lockdown proved full of ups and downs.
Last June, the former One Show host landed a job with frozen-food giant Iceland after being turned down for shifts at Tesco.
He was seen beaming and kitted out in his uniform as he started his first day in exchange for a donation for two charities.
More recently, The Sun exclusively revealed his new gameshow Unbeatable was thrown into chaos due to Covid track and trace.
Of the drama, he told how he had been alerted by the app and said: "I got track and traced. I’m one of the few people in the country who’ve downloaded the ‘grass yourself up’ app, and it’s somebody that I’ve been in contact with the weekend before last.
“In the middle of the week I get a phonecall. I’m already in the make-up chair. I’m just about to go and record four episodes of this new show Unbeatable.
"We’re 20 episodes in of 50. There’s 60 people on set waiting – contestants have flown up from all over the country.
“There’s this phonecall, ‘You’ve been track and traced, you need to isolate for the next ten days’. I was like ‘what, can I just do a test?’ It was ‘no’."
Jason added: "I’ve been giving it out for the last year about people not being responsible.
“I felt an incredible amount of pressure on my shoulders about telling this multi-million pound production ‘you can’t film for ten days’.
“I went into isolation in a flat in Glasgow we were renting. I’ve quite enjoyed it. I’ve never had time like this to myself.
“I’ve been tested every day and I’m fine. My wife said, ‘Only one more day until freedom’ and I thought, ‘This is my last day of freedom’."
