Inside Phillip Schofield’s boozy This Morning birthday with a cake made by Holly Willoughby’s kids and bucks fizz

PHILLIP Schofield is celebrating his 59th birthday today with a cute party organised by co-star Holly Willoughby.

Sharing his special day on Instagram, the host posted a picture of himself walking through the backstage offices to see the birthday tribute.

Staff had put up a sign saying "Happy Birthday Phillip" alongside a selection of balloons.

He captioned the pic: "I love these people thank you @thismorning"

But that wasn't all, as his dressing room was also covered in balloons.

Then he was made a delicious birthday breakfast, complete with orange juice, a fruit bowl, and a Marmite sausage sandwich.

Lorraine Kelly also treated her ITV co-star – with a huge bottle of Bucks Fizz, which she proudly showed off after her show ended.

They were able to enjoy the Bucks Fizz at a safe social distance, toasting backstage before This Morning.

Holly then sang Phillip happy birthday backstage and presented him with a homemade cake made by her kids, Harry, Belle and Chester.

Then once they were on air, Holly introduced Phil's birthday, but said: "I know you're hating this as I know you hate birthdays."

He was then presented with a cake made of Daim bars, which is his favourite chocolate bar.

Also to celebrate his love of First Class travel, his production assistant sorted out a special British Airways treat.

The PA said: "Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls we're currently cruising at an altitude of 35,000 feet.

"We trust you're enjoying your flight so far. Before we commence our service this morning, I would like to take this opportunity to wish one of our economy passengers a very happy birthday.

"Mr Schofield, many happy returns. If you would like to make your way to our first cabin, we have a special birthday treat for you."

They made him their very own First Class trip, complete with a meal.

Graham, the production assistant, walked out with champagne, hob-fried smoke salmon, with a main of slow cooked British beef cheeks.
