OTI Mabuse’s husband is set to join her on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing — and her celebrity partner had better look out.
Marius Iepure, 37, once joked on a TV show: “If you sleep with my wife, I’m gonna kill you.”
Sources say the Romanian, who wed Oti in 2014, will be a troupe dancer and take part in professional group numbers.
The decision comes after Oti was pictured recently on nights out with married actor Kelvin Fletcher, her winning partner last year.
The source told The Sun on Sunday: “Marius is a very talented dancer.
“But the fact that this is being discussed after Oti was linked to Kelvin has certainly raised eyebrows.
“Marius has also been vocal in the past about warning away other men.
“For her part, Oti has told pals she would be thrilled to have him on board.
“She thinks his presence on the show will stop further rumours getting out of hand.”
Marius warned love rivals when he and Oti, 29, appeared on Comedy Central gameshow Your Face or Mine? last year.
In a quip about the Strictly relationship curse, host Jimmy Carr asked Marius: “Would you like to be one of the professional dancers?
“Or do you think it would be awkward being in the same room as the man who’s having an affair with your wife?”
Oti replied that each of her dance partners got a warning from Marius. And he told Jimmy: “Don’t worry, they understand very fast” — before spelling out his threat.
South African Oti and ex-Emmerdale star Kelvin, 36, enjoyed several nights out in London earlier this year.
Kelvin is married to actress Eliza Marsland and they have two children.
He and Oti insist they are just friends and have done nothing wrong.
This week, the Sun revealed that Oti — sister of show judge Motsi — has asked to be paired with an older celebrity.
The source also claimed that bosses will pull out all the stops to keep her happy — as they hope to sign her to a golden handcuffs deal.
They said: “Oti is very highly rated and the BBC bosses are very keen to keep her.
“As well as her new role co-hosting Sport Relief she is in the running for other presenting gigs.
“They are positioning her as one of their brightest stars.”
