While the show is known for taking a break of a week here and there, the show is going to be off screens for three weeks now.

The CW has confirmed Riverdale season four, episode 17 is called Wicked Little Town and won’t be airing until Wednesday, April 8 in America.

While no reason has been given for the delay, Riverdale usually takes breaks for American public holidays.

Luckily, fans have been treated to a short promo to whet their appetites as they are left champing at the bit for the next episode.

In the trailer, Kevin Keller (Casey Cott) has a heated meeting with Principal Honey (Kerr Smith) and demands the headteacher reconsider his decision regarding the yearly school production.

Kevin passionately says: “Hedwig speaks to my entire generation” as he’s later dressed as the iconic character.

Principal Honey replies: “It’s not appropriate for students.” His words mark a rebellion at Riverdale High as pink ticket tape flies through the air.
