The Only Way Is Essex filming in Tenerife has been “cancelled” over Coronavirus fears, reports say.
The ITVBe series is understood to have plans to start filming in the Canary Islands in the next few weeks for the show’s annual episodes, but producers have reportedly been forced to scrap these plans after the global virus outbreak.
It’s reported the show’s bosses are now “in chaos” trying to think of an alternative location to film the special – but the main priority is said to be the cast’s wellbeing.

A source told The Sun Online: “Everyone's talking about it – the cast members who were due to go have been told it's not happening now and they're rethinking plans.
“The last thing anyone would want is for them to be in danger and they're following travel advice when filming.”
The Only Way Is Essex cast have previously filmed in Marbella, Thailand and Sardinia for the special episode.
A spokesperson for the ITVBe reality show said: “No decisions have been made on filming locations for the next series.”
The Coronavirus has been confirmed in a number of countries across the world, including Tenerife, where a hotel in Costa Adeje has been put into lockdown.
TOWIE producers aren’t the only ones who have taken precautions over fears of the infectious virus, as fans at Peter Andre’s question and answer session were told “not to touch” or “take selfies” with the star over the weekend.
