A BRAND new TV channel is coming from the brains behind The Sun.
talkTV will cover everything from sport to entertainment – but when can you tune in?
When does talkTV launch?
talkTV will go live in early 2022.
It will be available to all Brits – both live and on demand – as well as across the globe.
And you can enjoy the content on all platforms, including linear TV, social media and News UK's own websites and apps.
What is talkTV?
The channel is a new venture for News UK.
There will be proper hourly news bulletins, sports and entertainment shows, as well as current affairs, debate, opinion and documentaries.
It will use talent from existing brands – The Sun, talkRADIO, talkSPORT, Virgin Radio, Times Radio, The Times and The Sunday Times – as well as exciting new faces.
And the first name to be announced as a host is telly powerhouse Piers Morgan.
The 56-year-old has signed a global deal that's a "bigger comeback than Cristiano Ronaldo" to front a new weeknight show.
His programme will air on UK TV, Fox Nation in the US, and Sky News Australia.
The former Sun journalist will also present a series of True Crime documentaries and pen a regular newspaper column in The Sun.
Rebekah Brooks, Chief Executive of News UK, said: “We are committed to providing choice for television and streaming viewers and bringing the best of our journalism to the screen.
“Taking advantage of modern technology, we can produce high quality shows at low cost.”
