HOLBY City fans were devastated to hear the show had been pulled from last night’s (March 17) schedule.
The medical drama was cancelled to make room for a special extended news broadcast about the corona virus outbreak, which aired at 6pm. So when is Holby next on? Here’s everything you need to know.
Why was Holby City cancelled last night?
Holby City was set to air at 8pm last night, but the drama has been cancelled this week.
The news was announced in a tweet posted by the official Holby City Twitter account yesterday, which read: “News just in. We're postponing tonight's #HolbyCity episode due to an extended 6pm news bulletin. Sending hugs."
BBC News aired at its normal time slot of 6pm but ran for the longer time of 45 minutes on Tuesday.
The regional news then ran from 6:45pm to 7:15pm, followed by The One Show which continued until 8pm.

Holby City won’t be rescheduling the episode for another time slot this week.
But fans needn't worry – it was all just a one-off for last night.
The BBC has already confirmed that the medical drama will return next week at its usual slot of 8pm on Tuesday.
