THE social media mogul Mark Zuckerberg has had his share of clashes with Donald Trump.
Most recently, Facebook banned Trump from posting on his account indefinitely, in the wake of the deadly assault on Capitol Hill incited by the president.
Is Mark Zuckerberg a Trump supporter?
Zuckerberg has never publicly stated that he is a Trump supporter, however he did meet with the president in September 2019.
It was the first time Zuckerberg and Trump met, and it left an impression on the social media mogul.
"One of the things that I found interesting is that he's kind of exactly the same in person as you'd expect him to be from the stuff that he says publicly," Zuckerberg said in a new interview with Axios.
In an interview with CBS This Morning, Zuckerberg denied that Trump attempted to lobby him on political ads on Facebook.
"No. I think some of the stuff people talk about or think gets discussed in these discussions are not really how that works," he said at the time.
Is Zuckerberg a Republican or Democrat?
Zuckerberg is registered to vote in Santa Clara County, California, but he does not identify himself as being affiliated with the Republican or Democratic party.
"I think it's hard to affiliate as being either a Democrat or a Republican. I'm pro-knowledge economy," he previously said.
The Facebook CEO has met with politicians on both sides including Trump, 2020 presidential candidate Pete Buttgieg and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.
Nonetheless, Zuckerberg has never endorsed a presidential candidate in the past.
What did Zuckerberg say after meeting Donald Trump?
In his interview with CBS following his meeting with Trump, Zuckerberg declined to share any details surrounding his meeting with the president.
"I also want to respect that it was a private dinner with private discussion," he told the outlet at the time.
However, he did reveal that the two discussed a "number of things that were on his [Trump] mind and some of the topics that you read about in the news."
