A group of masked bandits raided a Brooklyn storage facility –– managing to get away with nearly $140,000 worth of items after rummaging around hundreds of storage units, police said Wednesday.
The four scavengers entered the property through an unlocked gate at a Cube Smart self-storage space on Shell Road near Neptune Avenue in Coney Island around 9 p.m. Feb. 21 –– and used crowbars and bolt cutters to break into nearly 300 storage units before getting away with the colossal dollar sum of items, police said.
The suspects –– captured on video wearing all black –– can be seen walking one-by-one into the facility and then leaving with various luggage and bags containing the sizeable amount of items, video shows.
It is not clear what specific belongings were stolen, police said.
The group fled in a light-colored Dodge Ram eastbound on Shore Parkway, cops said.
